Willow Creek Water Treatment Project, Lake Mead National Recreation Area
SM&RC provided structural engineering for the project including the structural design of a concrete sludge evaporation bed, masonry control building with steel roof and carport area, recirculating sand filter foundation and fish cleaning facility.
Lower Pine Lake, Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge
SM&RC was responsible for the structural design of a new reinforced concrete chute service spillway through the embankment dam. The design included an integral stoplog bay in the spillway crest that serves as a low level outlet, a steel walkway and aluminum stoplog pulling rakes. SM&RC's work also included construction submittal reviews and construction site visits.
Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge, Visitor Center Dam
Structural Engineer responsible for designing the project low level outlet works. This project involved the installation of a concrete intake structure, concrete gated tower outlet structure, concrete encased steel outlet pipe and a standard concrete energy dissipation structure.
Chief Joseph Dam Inspection
Sructural Engineer responsible for on site inspection and the preparation of an investigation report with repair recommendations for the Unit 21 (95 MW) Generator Foundation. Work included providing final design and construction support for the stator support foundation.
